ACADEMICS

Is JMC Accredited?

Southeastern University partners with Journey Church to host an instructional site on the church campus, and offer students affordable degree programs. It is through this partnership that JMC students receive a fully accredited Bachelor’s degree upon graduation.

Is there academic assistance?

Yes! SEU has a phenomenal array of resources available to students at all campuses including an online library, tutors, and even counseling. This can be found in the SEU Student Success Center. The Journey team is also committed to ensuring the students succeed in classes: monitoring grades, offering mentorship, and aid in proofreading and research libraries.

How do I register for classes?

If this is your first time registering for classes, our team can schedule a video call with you to walk you through the JICS website and show you how to register for classes. While classes are online, we want to make things as easy for you as possible. For that reason, JMC tries to have all students register for the same classes. This way, you still get the experience of having a classmate to help study for tests or remind you about important homework assignments! Email our team to find out which classes you should be registering for!

When do classes begin?

We operate on a semester system (Fall and Spring). There would be an opportunity to start classes at the beginning of each semester. If you’re accepted and/or registered to attend JMC, we will keep you up to date on class start days via email or mail, but if you want to take a peek yourself, please view our calendar for dates specific to each semester.

Is the academic program one size fits all?

Our goal as a school is to make it easy for individuals to follow their calling. While many students enroll in our traditional program to get a Bachelors and valuable daily internship experience, there are other programs for individuals who cannot commit to be in the church building 20+ hours each week. The Adult Track is perfect for individuals who need to maintain calendar flexibility for careers and families, while Master and Mdiv programs are recommended for those wishing to continue their education beyond a four year degree.
