Intern Map Evaluations

What am I about to fill out? At the beginning, middle, and end of each year, we ask students and internship leaders to fill out a similar questionnaire about student skillsets and goals. This is helpful for a few reasons:

  1. It helps our internship leaders understand where our new students are at (we’d hate for a student to not be challenged enough or be challenged too much).

  2. It helps everyone to evaluate the last semester, and get everyone on the same page for how best to move forward.

  3. It’s useful information for students to include on resume’s and in interviews to have a metric for growth and capabilities!

We will be sending the students and internship leaders copies of both submissions in order to encourage open communication. Please do not let this keep you from being honest; we all have the same goal for improvement and accountability.

Students, we do not expect you to be experienced at everything! So be honest about where you're at so that we can help you grow and make you the most hirable ministry employee! Experts say that often times your first instinct is the most accurate, so don't overthink it! Some of these are ministry specific and may not even be necessary for you to focus on. Some of the short answer questions are geared towards returning students, so if you are a new student, you can simply write “N/A” in that field.

Internship leaders, we encourage you to compare notes to make sure you're on the same page, as well as ask for examples of when you have worked in these areas.
